Steve Koontz

B.S. Biology, Chemistry

Steve Koontz has been in the medical device industry for over 35 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Missouri State University in 1973. Steve is the Midwest Region Manager for ARC Medical with additional duties including sales training and marketing. Steve is beginning his 11th year with ARC Medical.

His background includes owning two medical supply companies, region sales manager positions, national sales manager positions, and director of sales and marketing for a respiratory anesthesia specialty manufacturer.

Steve has always specialized in the anesthesia and respiratory/critical care arena during his 35 years of experience. He is currently CEU Certified by the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care for his program “The Science of HMEs,” which is designed for the respiratory care industry.

He is a frequent guest lecturer at Saint Paul College in St. Paul, Minnesota, speaking on “Humidity and Its Applications” to respiratory care students.

Steve has published several articles, with “How Do You Know Your Filter Filters?” published in Becker’s Operating Room: Clinical Quality & Infection Control (May/June 2011 • Vol. 2011 No. 1) being one of his more popular articles.
