RE:IV Certification
Each state board of nursing has differing requirements for LVN's and LPN's to practice IV therapy. Some boards have very strict specific requirements and others (most) require documented post licensure education and validation of competency by the nurse's employer. Competencies (skills valications) are completed through a preceptor--usually this is an employer staff developement coordinator,DON, ADON or RN designated to perform these check-offs.
Pedagogy has added skills competency validation checklists to our courses.  You may also request these specifically-just send us an email:  sales@pedagogy-inc.com
